To mark International Women’s Day 2022, we’ve looked into the factors behind the remarkable growth in female golf participation. Read on to find out why thousands of women have chosen to take to the fairways for the first time.

" I think the game has changed massively over the past decade! There has been so much diversity and equality shown in the sport, along with so many more opportunities for women, not only across official tournaments but also at a more local level.

It’s been great to meet Maybel today and see the younger generation being inspired by the sport. "

- Carly

" I’ve had so much fun on the shoot today and it’s been amazing to interact with other female golfers like Carly. I started playing golf when I was 6 when I went with my dad to a local Par 3 course and just loved it from my first drive.

I then started group sessions and everything has just progressed from there! My handicap is currently 16 and I’m due to compete in World Championships in the US this year. My favourite golfers are Bryson De Chambeau and Nelly Korda. "
