    Shaft length tooltip

Getting the correct shaft length benefits you in several ways. We are all different in height and our wrist to floor measurements. Having the wrong length shafts can hinder your address position, stop the clubhead sitting correctly at address & impact and cause lack of accuracy and consistency.

Choosing the correct thickness can vastly improve your ball striking and accuracy. If the grip is too thin your hands will over-rotate resulting in a pull or draw. If the grip is too thick it limits movement of the wrists, leading to a push or fade.

Overview
The i59 irons have been engineered with tour-inspired lines to appeal to the highly skilled golfer. Designed with an innovative three-piece forged design and new MicroMax™ grooves to ensure trajectory control and precision shot-making.

The PING Irons Feature:

  • Three-Piece Forged Design
  • Alumicore™ Technology
  • MicroMax Grooves
  • 1-Year Guarantee

Three-Piece Forged Design

The i59 iron has been engineered with a 3-step design process using 1025 carbon steel, an aerospace-grade aluminum core and 17-4 SS laser cut face. To deliver a true shot making iron, with trajectory control.

Alumicore™ Technology

By using aerospace-grade aluminum at the core, PING saved around 30 grams of discretionary weight. This is better positioned with a tungsten toe screw and internal heel weight to add more forgiveness and trajectory control. Achieving a level forgiveness never usually seen in a forged iron, like the larger i20 iron.

MicroMax Grooves

The irons have fully machined faced MicroMax grooves and face for the ultimate in precision control. The grooves are spaced out more tightly with steeper side walls to make room for 4 extra grooves. The results are much better to reduce fliers in the short irons and preserve spin in the long irons.

Tour-Preferred Feel & Styling

The compact club head structure with a shorter blade length and a thin top line provides more control and workability. With a narrower sole for better turf interaction.
The Hydropearl 2.0 finish, ensures better turf interaction, more consistent play, scratch and wear resistance and long-lasting premium finish.

Features

AlumiCore Technology

An aerospace-grade aluminum insert allows approximately 30 grams of material from the center of the club to be redistributed to the perimeter in the form of toe and shaft tip weights, elevating the MOI to match that of the larger PING i210 iron.

MicroMax Milled Grooves

The precision-machined face has new MicroMax grooves for tighter spacing and a geometry that results in an average of four extra grooves to reduce fliers in the short irons and preserve spin in the long irons.

Tour-Preferred Styling

A thin topline and proper offset presents the clean, streamlined look preferred by skilled players. The hydropearl 2.0 finish repels water to ensure predictable, consistent performance from wet and dry conditions.

Higher MOI

Toe and tip weighting elevate MOI to reduce the stat area and achieve a level of forgiveness unprecedented in a forged design.

100% Inspected Manufacturing Steps

During development of the iron, PING’s innovation and engineering teams spent significant time perfecting the manufacturing process, which includes 100% inspection of numerous steps, including sole shaping, head polishing, face machining and head forging.

    Grip Options

Golf Pride New Decade MCC White Arccos

A brushed cotton cord in the upper hand area provides firm all-weather control combined with a performance rubber in the lower hand to optimize feel and responsiveness. The Arccos Smart Grip and Smart Sensor technology collects data using a sensor in the butt end of the grip and provides real-time game-tracking data when paired with the Arccos Caddie app.

    Multiple Shaft Options

Choose from a range of shafts to suit your playstyle:

    Project X LZ

Project X LZ features proprietary Loading Zone Technology which produces maximum shaft load during the downswing for greater energy transfer. Loading Zone Technology is achieved through variable wall technology in the shaft’s butt and tip sections and a reduced stiffness in the midsection.
